As Goes California, So Goes The USA? (EP. 366)

As Goes California, So Goes The USA? (EP. 366)

Introduction:

California is a one-party state. Democrats hold a supermajority in the legislature, and a 2-1 advantage in voter registrations. California elections rules allow for sending mail in ballots to all registered voters, and allow for vote harvesting, inviting low interest, low motivation voters to have a say in our democracy far in excess of their willingness to do even marginal research into the candidates and policies. And to be even marginally inconvenienced every two or four years in order to cast their votes

The recent recall never had a chance. And the California model is how the Democrats intend to create a one-party nation, where a Republican will never again be elected to national office. And this from a registered Unaffiliated voter.

That is the subject of today’s 10 minute episode.

Continuing:

Today’s Key Point: The, “You are a victim and deserve to have everything as close to free as possible,” pitch has its greatest appeal with the uninterested and uninformed. Anyone who has done even a little bit of reading, including some history and, perhaps, cursory reading in economics, will know that nothing is free. And, more importantly, that while getting things for free may form an appropriate safety net, it teaches nothing. With a little more reading and study, it becomes clear that safety nets are not where we were intended to live. Imagine, for example, going to a circus and seeing the trapeze artists spending the entire performance in the safety netting. After about five minutes, the crowd would boo the performers out of the arena. But politically, progressives are doing exactly that with our nation with goods and services like healthcare, housing, food, etc., needing to be free because they are all “human rights.”

The Democratic Party currently holds veto-proof supermajorities in both houses of the California State Legislature. The Assembly consists of 60 Democrats and 19 Republicans, with one independent, while the Senate is composed of 30 Democrats and 9 Republicans, with one vacancy. And instead of booing, we are expected to cheer, and insist on having more things to be delivered at no cost to the recipients. Hey, let’s add clothing and appropriate recreation to the list of human rights.

Even with all of those advantages, the media in California felt the need to weigh in on the recall. “Larry Elder is the Black Face of White Supremacy,” screamed the headline of a column in the LA Times. This is the same paper that completely ignored the recent story where a white woman wearing a gorilla mask threw eggs at candidate Elder, while screaming insults at the top of her voice. Imagine for a moment if a white person wearing a gorilla mask had thrown an egg at VP Haris, then verbally assaulted her.

More from the LA times: The editorial board on Wednesday celebrated Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s victory in his recall election, writing it was “a sigh of relief” that “extremist, intolerant” Larry Elder would not be replacing him.

“Phew. After months of worrying about the fate of California, we will sleep easier now that Gov. Gavin Newsom will not be removed from office early and replaced by right-wing provocateur Larry Elder, a radio host with no experience in elective office and who doesn’t seem interested in being a governor for all Californians — only those who share his extremist, intolerant views,” the board wrote.

Here is a quote from Mr. Elder, stating the core of his political views. “The biggest challenge in California in general is the intrusiveness of government,” he said. “I believe that a government that governs less governs best.” Mr. Elder was quoting Thomas Jefferson, apparently a fellow intolerant extremist.

CNN trumpeted, pun intended, “California Gov. Gavin Newsom was facing a tight race. Then Larry Elder came along.” The idea was that, oh thank you, thank you, Newsome’s main challenger was easy pickins. Nah. The fix was in all along. The Gang of Four made sure that it was never going to be a tight race. The Goal of the Gang of Four, pollsters, MSM, Big Tech and the Democratic Party, is to manipulate elections in a way that no Republican is ever again elected to national office. This concept is expanded on in, “America’s Cultural Revolution; Leading To One Party Rule? EP. 330.

The most subtle, yet the most powerful, way for the Gang to succeed in its mission is to support and encourage the less concerned, less involved, unmotivated and generally unknowledgeable voters to take a few minutes every four years and cast a ballot. These are the voters who know little or nothing about either our unique purpose or history as a nation. Few of them could answer basic civics questions, or even identify key political leaders. Most importantly these voters grab onto appealing cliches and sound bites instead of doing any checks-ins with opposing opinions and policy recommendations. The Gang works to create the false impression that if anything in life is hard, is not what is wanted or is merely inconvenient, then it is unfair and needs to be remedied by government. And the Democrats will provide those remedies for you through the government, while Republicans won’t.

Let me tell you the story of the search for the laziest man alive. While not the lofty, if apocryphal, tale of knights, including Sir Percival and Sir Galahad, searching for the Holy Grail. Or Diogenes’ search for an honest man, it is an instructive, if fictional, tale. This search went on for years, but the searchers came up empty handed every time when they discovered some disqualifying spark of ambition or work ethic in the finalists. One day the head investigator was directed to a one room apartment, where three disgustingly lazy men lived. The investigator went in to find the three lying on the floor of the only room. Announcing that he had one million dollars in cash to give to the laziest man in the world, two of them stirred slightly, making their arguments about why they deserved the cash. The third man said, without even rolling over, “Put it in my pocket.” Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner. Sort of.

While not announcing that they are looking for the laziest voters in the world, that is exactly what the left and progressives are doing when they continue to work to remove any and all obstacles to voting. Including the need to stir yourself to get the voting envelope to a mailbox. The evil of ballot harvesting eliminates that simple action. Definition: Ballot harvesting is the gathering and submitting of .absentee or mail-in voter ballots by third-party individuals, volunteers or workers, rather than submission by voters themselves directly to ballot collection sites. BTW, in California the return voting envelope even includes prepaid postage.

We all have the personal responsibility to be well researched, well informed, responsible voters. Speaking of personal responsibility, this principle does not stand alone; the two main and interdependent principles at Revolution 2.0 are:

1. Personal Responsibility; take it, teach it and,
2. Be Your Brother’s Keeper. The answer to the biblical question, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” is a ringing, unequivocal “Yes.” There is no other answer.
